Acts 13: 38-39 藉著相信耶穌基督,就被上帝看為義

38所以,弟兄們,你們當曉得:赦罪的道是由這人傳給你們的。39你們靠摩西的律法,在一切不得稱義的事上信靠這人,就都得稱義了(使徒行傳13:38-39)。

“Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses” (Acts 13: 38-39).



「這人」是指耶穌基督,耶穌基督來要赦免我們的罪,他要拯救我們,將我們從罪惡當中拯救出來。在這裏我們看到保羅在福音佈道一開始的時候,他就已經領略福音的真理,就是因信稱義的真理。這邊保羅告訴我們的是一個非常重要的核心信息,就是任何相信耶穌基督的人(everyone who believes)都能從罪當中被釋放,被上帝看為義,這就是基督信仰寶貴的「因信稱義」的福音信息。

Acts 13: 23 & 27-31 耶穌是拯救者

「23從這人[大衛]的後裔中,上帝已經照著所應許的,為以色列人立了一位救主,就是耶穌。」

「27耶路撒冷居住的人和他們的官長,因為不認識基督,也不明白每安息日所讀眾先知的書,就把基督定了死罪,正應了先知的預言;28 雖然查不出他有當死的罪來,還是求彼拉多殺他;29既成就了經上指著他所記的一切話,就把他從木頭上取下來,放在墳墓裡。30上帝卻叫他從死裡復活。31那從加利利同他上耶路撒冷的人多日看見他,這些人如今在民間是他的見證」(使徒行傳13:23 & 27-31)。


"Of this man’s offspring God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, as he promised.


    For those who live in Jerusalem and their rulers, because they did not recognize him nor understand the utterances of the prophets, which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him. And though they found in him no guilt worthy of death, they asked Pilate to have him executed. And when they had carried out all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb. But God raised him from the dead, and for many days he appeared to those who had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people" (Acts 13: 23 & 27-31).

Acts 12:1-3, 20-24 驕傲的王的下場

「1那時,希律王下手苦害教會中幾個人,2用刀殺了約翰的哥哥雅各。3他見猶太人喜歡這事,又去捉拿彼得。……20希律惱怒推羅、西頓的人。他們那一帶地方是從王的地土得糧,因此就託了王的內侍臣伯拉斯都的情,一心來求和。21希律在所定的日子,穿上朝服,坐在位上,對他們講論一番。22百姓喊著說:這是神的聲音,不是人的聲音。23希律不歸榮耀給上帝,所以主的使者立刻罰他,他被蟲所咬,氣就絕了。

24上帝的道日見興旺,越發廣傳」(使徒行傳12:1-3, 20-24)。



“About that time Herod the king laid violent hands on some who belonged to the church. He killed James the brother of John with the sword, and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread. . . . . . Now Herod was angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon, and they came to him with one accord, and having persuaded Blastus, the king’s chamberlain, they asked for peace, because their country depended on the king’s country for food. On an appointed day Herod put on his royal robes, took his seat upon the throne, and delivered an oration to them. And the people were shouting, “The voice of a god, and not of a man!” Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and breathed his last.

Unit 2, Chapter 1 (Answer)

Acts 10:34-35 上帝愛猶太人,也愛非猶太人


「34彼得就開口說:我真看出上帝是不偏待人。35原來,各國中那敬畏主、行義的人都為主所悅納」(使徒行傳10:34-35)。

"So Peter opened his mouth and said: 'Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him" (Acts 10:34-35). 

上帝愛非猶太人哥尼流,祂親自主動引導哥尼流與猶太人使徒彼得見面,並使聖靈充滿他如同使聖靈充滿門徒一樣。因此,彼得說出了以上這兩節經文。

從哥尼流的事件開始,福音就傳到非猶太人身上了,哥尼流就是第一個歸主的非猶太人,不只是他,他又帶了他的家庭,還有他的親戚,還有他的好朋友,他帶了一大群人一起來歸主。在這裏,教會已經跨越猶太人的條例,禮儀的界線,也跨越了猶太人跟非猶太人之間的藩籬。


上帝愛猶太人,也愛非猶太人;上帝賜恩給猶太人,也賜恩給非猶太人。耶穌基督的救恩要拯救猶太人,也拯救非猶太人,福音是普世的。

Acts 9:22 耶穌基督改變掃羅

掃羅「20就在各會堂裡宣傳耶穌,說他是上帝的兒子。21凡聽見的人都驚奇,說:在耶路撒冷殘害求告這名的,不是這人嗎?並且他到這裡來,特要捆綁他們,帶到祭司長那裡。22但掃羅越發有能力,駁倒住大馬色的猶太人,證明耶穌是基督」(使徒行傳9:22)。


"And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, 'He is the Son of God.' And all who heard him were amazed and said, 'Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?' But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ."

掃羅原本是「向主的門徒口吐威嚇兇殺的話」的人,他非常熱心到處追捕基督徒,但正當他前往大馬色追捕基督徒的路上,耶穌對他說話,他變成一個眼睛看不見的人。直到亞拿尼亞聽了主的話去他家,「把手按在掃羅身上」,掃羅「就能看見」,「於是起來受了洗」。

Acts 8:28-38 腓利與埃提阿伯

「27不料,有一個埃提阿伯人,是個有大權的太監,在埃提阿伯女王干大基的手下總管銀庫,他上耶路撒冷禮拜去了。28現在回來,在車上坐著,念先知以賽亞的書。29聖靈對腓利說:你去!貼近那車走。30腓利就跑到太監那裡,聽見他念先知以賽亞的書,便問他說:你所念的,你明白嗎?31他說:沒有人指教我,怎能明白呢?於是請腓利上車,與他同坐。32他所念的那段經,說:他像羊被牽到宰殺之地,又像羊羔在剪毛的人手下無聲;他也是這樣不開口。33他卑微的時候,人不按公義審判他;誰能述說他的世代,因為他的生命從地上奪去。34太監對腓利說:請問,先知說這話是指著誰?是指著自己呢?是指著別人呢?35腓利就開口從這經上起,對他傳講耶穌。36二人正往前走,到了有水的地方,太監說:看哪,這裡有水,我受洗有什麼妨礙呢?(有古卷在此有:37腓利說:你若是一心相信,就可以。他回答說:我信耶穌基督是神的兒子。)38於是吩咐車站住,腓利和太監二人同下水裡去,腓利就給他施洗」(使徒行轉8:28-38)。 


"And there was an Ethiopian, a eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure. He had come to Jerusalem to worship and was returning, seated in his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah. And the Spirit said to Philip, 'Go over and join this chariot.' So Philip ran to him and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet and asked, 'Do you understand what you are reading?' 'And he said, 'How can I, unless someone guides me?' And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this:

'Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter
and like a lamb before its shearer is silent,
so he opens not his mouth.
In his humiliation justice was denied him.
Who can describe his generation?
For his life is taken away from the earth.'

分辨 Acquire, Gain, Obtain, Attain, Pick up

1. acquire 強調經過努力逐步累積獲得知識、才能、經驗、名譽。
During this period he acquired a reputation for being a good writer.

2. gain: to get something that is useful, that gives you an advantage, or that is in some way positive, especially over a period of time
The Nationalist Party have gained a lot of support in the south of the country.

3. obtain: to get something, especially by asking for it, buying it, working for it or producing it from something else to succeed in gaining possession of as the result of planning or endeavor

In the second experiment they obtained a very clear result.
Sugar is obtained by crushing and processing sugar cane.

4. attain: to reach or succeed in getting something; to achieve經過不懈的努力獲得的結果,實現達成一目標,一般後面接表示抽事物的名詞,如 ambition, goal, objective, success, victory
We need to identify the best ways of attaining our objectives/goals.

5. pick up 指無意地、容易地「學會」知識、技能或「獲得」資訊。

Acts 8:26-27 主要腓力去腓力就去

「有主的一個使者對腓利說:起來!向南走,往那從耶路撒冷下迦薩的路上去。那路是曠野。腓利就起身去了」(使徒行傳8:26-27)。

"Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Rise and go toward the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is a desert place. And he rose and went." 


從撒瑪亞到迦薩是一段很長又不好走的曠野的路,且曠野沒有人,去那裡傳福音給誰呢?但主的使者叫腓利去,腓利就去。

這裏我們看到腓利的順服,主要他去他就去,完全沒有遲疑。

Acts 7:48-49 上帝不住人手所造的

「48其實,至高者並不住人手所造的,就如先知所言:49主說:天是我的座位,地是我的腳凳;你們要為我造何等的殿宇?哪裡是我安息的地方呢?50這一切不都是我手所造的嗎?」(使徒行傳7:48-49)。

“Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by h ands, as the prophet says, ‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord, or what is the place of my rest? Did not my hand make all these things?’”


因為猶太人設下假見證控告司提反糟蹋聖所,司提反就以一篇非常有力量的講道回應,而這段話就是司提講道的一部分,作為反擊猶太人對他的控告。

司提反所引用的經文,是出自以賽亞書66章1節先知所說的話。這段經文所表達的是,其實上帝並不住在聖殿裡,天地萬物都是上帝創造的,上帝豈是住在人手所造的小小的房子裡嗎?

Course Description (English Version)
The main goal of this course is to train students to communicate fluently in English with confidence, clarity and ease in any given situation. The course is designed to be highly interactive. Students will be involved in collaborative projects and frequently use the microphone when addressing the class. The expectation is that by the end of the course all participants will project their voices, annunciate clearly, have consistent eye contact with their audiences, demonstrate good posture, conduct research responsibly, and effectively write and deliver speeches. Therefore, course participants will be encouraged throughout the year to constantly strive to improve their oral presentation skills.

In addition, the course professor will work toward providing a non-threatening atmosphere where students will feel free to experiment with the English language and make informative mistakes. In order to meet the course goals, students are expected to attend every class, ask for help when they need it, hand work in on time, make a conscious effort to work harmoniously with classmates and devote their energy to using English even after they leave the classroom each week.

Lastly, it may be helpful for those pondering whether to enroll in this course to know that students who have taken it in the past have said that it is very demanding but worthwhile.

This course will provide students with ample opportunities to explore interesting topics, using every day English, as well as a great deal of activities designed to help them become great public speakers.

Furthermore, they will have homework every week to ensure that their skills are sharpened and that they are prepared for every class. In this course, students are the most important subject. Therefore, the content of the course will be continuously revised based on students’ needs and interests. The textbooks that will be used are simply helpful tools and not the main focus of the course.
