Why do the nations rage

Why do the nations rage (狂怒)
and the peoples (許多人民) plot (密謀) in vain (徒勞)?
2The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the LORD and against his Anointed (受膏者), saying,
3“Let us burst (破裂) their bonds apart
and cast away(擺脫) their cords (繩索) from us.”

4He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision(嘲笑).
5Then he will speak to them in his wrath (憤怒),
and terrify (使害怕)them in his fury (狂怒), saying,
6“As for me, I have set my King
on Zion, my holy hill.”

7I will tell of the decree (命令):
The LORD said to me, “You are my Son;
today I have begotten (beget 生) you.
8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage(遺產),
and the ends of the earth your possession (所有物).
9You shall break them with a rod of iron
and dash (猛砸) them in pieces like a potter’s vessel (容器).”

10Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
be warned(引以為戒的), O rulers of the earth.
11Serve the LORD with fear,
and rejoice with trembling(顫抖).
12Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish (滅亡) in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled(點燃).
Blessed are all who take refuge(庇護) in him.

(Psalms 2, Bible.

We know that many people conspired against David, but he believed that he had been made king by divine appointment. He encouraged himself by strong confidence in God and boasted that their attempts were all in vain because they conspired not against mortal people, but against God himself. What is so important here is that David prophesied concerning Christ. Those things which David declares concerning himself were truly predicted concerning Christ and indeed they are properly applicable to Christ. Furthermore, since Christ was anointed by God and God has begotten him, those who refuse to obey Christ himself deny the authority of God.
Here we do not see the meekness of Christ, but the wrath of Him. It is because the Psalmist tries to strike alarm into his enemy by describing vengeance that God would take upon his enemies. In the end, we see the love of Christ: Blessed are all they that put their trust in him
