Mount Hehuan, Hualien, Taiwan

Mount Hehuan (合歡山) is a 3,416-metre-high mountain in Central Taiwan.

The peak is within the Taroko Gorge National Park.

"Wushibi (烏石鼻) is located south to Changbin Township, on a cape that streches out into the ocean Ningpu Village. Wushibi refers to the black rocks that stick out of the ocean. They are the product of volcanic activity and lava eruptions, it is also the largest volcanic rock column in Taiwan." Cited from:

Qingshui, Hualien, Taiwan

"Qingshui Cliff (清水斷崖), located on the section of the Suao-Hualien Highway that stretches between Heping and Chongde stations, is one of the most spectacular sights on Taiwan's Pacific coast. The cliff is more than 1,000 meters high and drops almost vertically into the sea. The highway snakes along its curving face more than 20 kilometers, with the sheer cliff rising on one side and a sheer drop to the ocean on the other." Cited from:

Carp Lake, Hulaien, Taiwan

Carp Lake (Liyutan)(鯉魚潭)

"Liyu Lake is located at the foot of Liyu Mountain, in Chinan Village, Shoufeng Township, only 18 kilometers from Hualien City. The lake is about 1.5 km in length and 930 meters in width, making it the largest inland lake in Hualien County with a total area of 104 hectares. Measuring about 1 by 1.5 Km, the lake is one of the oldest scenic areas in Taiwan and the largest lake in Hualien County. It receives its water from a spring in the so-called 'heart' of the lake. Every year in April, thousands of fireflies flash above the lake." Cited from:
