Romans 1:3-4 耶穌的人性與神性

「論到他兒子—我主耶穌基督。按肉體說，是從大衛生後裔生的；按聖善的靈說，因從死裡復活，以大能顯明是上帝的兒子」（羅馬書1:3-4）

concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord

從肉體來說，耶穌是在大衛的血統裡被生出來的，他是真真實實的人，所以他了解人，認識人，能體諒人。但如果耶穌就只是人，和其他人一樣死了，信從他也沒有意義。我們知道耶穌並非只是人，他是上帝的兒子，他從死裡復活，他超越人生的大限，連死亡都不能控制他，因此他可以拯救我們。

這裡清楚表明耶穌的人性與神性，耶穌他了解我們，並且他能夠拯救我們。[註]
